How to reach Hotel Carinzia

The location Tröpolach/Nassfeld is near Hermagor (5 minutes). From Italy, it can be reached by the motorway to Venice, Udine, and Tarvisio. You cross the border into Austria. (Remember to buy the motorway pass at the border. In Austria there are frequent checks for the motorway pass and for speeding). Before reaching Villach, take the exit for Hermagor, and then continue towards Tröpolach. In summer, there is a beautiful road that runs from Pontebba, over the Pramollo pass, then descending into Austria to Tröpolach. This route is about 40 km shorter, but takes much longer!

By car:
Take motorway A23 for Udine/Tarvisio, continue on the A2 towards Villach. Take the first exit, Gailtal/Hermagor, turn right onto the B111, and continue to Tröpolach / Nassfeld.
Or, a more scenic route: take motorway A23 to Udine, and then on towards Austria-Tarvisio, take the Pontebba exit, go through the centre of Pontebba, and follow the road to Pramollo Pass until you reach Nassfeld/Pramollo (Udine - Pramollo: 85 km).
